Other Songs

While the names of the composers and the sheet music for the official songs remain, the unofficial songs are usually composed by students and come in a variety of styles including chants used at sports meetings or songs in the popular music style of the day. Of such songs at Loyola, only two retain identification of their composers (Daniel Bloom and Daniel Lord, S.J.), and two identify the tunes that inspired the parody - "The Man on the Flying Trapeze", and "Thanks for the Memories", the song made famous by Bob Hope.
